²⁵ King Amaziah, son of Joash of Judah, lived for fifteen years after the death of King Joash, son of Jehoahaz of Israel. ²⁶ The rest of the deeds of Amaziah’s reign, from first to last, are recorded in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

²⁷ From the time when Amaziah turned away from the Lord, a conspiracy was formed against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish, where he was pursued and murdered.
